Recently rated as one of the ‘four star’ producers in Beaujolais by Robert Parker, Jean Paul Brun aims to produce old fashioned Beaujolais style. Using indigenous yeasts and traditional winemaking techniques from Burgundy, his artisanal wines have structure and character. Regarded as the best Climat (vineyard) in Fleurie, Grille Midi benefits from a granite amphitheatre shape where grapes can reach full maturity and develop concentrated flavours.

Grapes are de-stemmed, then fermented and aged in concrete vats. Plenty of ripe blackberry and plum aromas. Medium to full body on the palate with round tannins and followed by a very long, lingering finish.
