An exciting new label coming out of Nelson.
Monty, the winemaker, describes it as:
"Amazing fruit from a seaside site in Kina, Nelson. Whole bunch pressed to old oak and left for 8 months. This is made in the Chablis style with low impact from oak allowing the fruit to shine.
On the nose, it has a light lemon zest, elderflower followed by a more tropical aroma. The wine on the palate is extremely balanced with a long acidity holding it together. The grapes sat on skins overnight giving the wine a nice phenolic grip balancing out the fruit and acidity. The flavour is soft citrus with a light balance of honey suckle from the malolactic fermentation with good textural weight"
