The Meltwater is a Classic Marlborough Sauvignon.
Harvested in the cool of early morning. Ripe with flavours tending towards the sour citrus spectrum. The grapes were gently pressed and the juice allowed to ferment to dryness with indigenous yeast, in small stainless steel tanks. Left on lees over the winter, the wine was then racked and allowed to settle prior to a light filtration before bottling in February 2020.
Deliciously crisp and pure with aromatics of fresh basil and mandarin citrus. The palate is alive and generously textured with a backbone of finely balanced acidity. Finishes dry, in such a good way.
