Little Giant Reserve Shiraz is another slam-dunk from celebrated winemaker, Corey Ryan. From the ultra-cool bottle to the sultry palate, everything about it screams premium Aussie Shiraz and it really does take things up a few notches from the standard Little Giant range. It's jammed full of dark berry fruit flavours with supple mouthfeel and a vibrant finish. A hint of spice nicely rounds things out.
The Barossa Valley makes up the majority of the fruit source with typical plum, red licorice, chocolate and mocha characters whilst the addition of the spicier, elegant fruit of the cooler Eden Valley has added lift, interest and freshness. The nose is dark and brooding, offering glimpses of dark berry fruit, exotic spice and hints of earth. The wine flows across the palate with a dense inky intensity and supple mouth-coating texture. The wine is impressively detailed and enhanced by a stalky whole bunch complexity. There?s softness on the finish while maintaining freshness and vibrancy. Pair with a classic steak and bernaise sauce.
