100% Cabernet Franc from 25 year old vines near Sellicks Hill in the Seaview district of McLaren Vale.
The grapes are harvested at premium ripeness, de-stemmed and naturally fermented on skins for 10 days. They are then pressed straight to old, large format oak casks and left to age for 6 months before hand bottling. Zero additives.
This is a ripe and juicy expression of Cabernet Franc. Winemaker Dave Geyer lets the characters of the site shine. Ripe mulberries, red and black currant and tomato leaf are dominant on the nose. Take a sip and discover a plump and friendly wine with playful tannins. A pure joy to drink.
