Geyer Wine Co is a natural wine producer from the Barossa Valley. In an ode to ancestry, but with eyes fixed firmly on the future, we revive and nurture the neglected vineyards of the region to produce honest, innovative and thoroughly delicious wines – an artful convergence of heritage and heresy.
The grapes are hand harvested from 85+ year old ancient bush vines grown on the river sands of Vine Vale. The juice undergoes 50% whole bunch fermentation and is hand plunged with zero additions. It is gently basket pressed, aged in old neutral oak barrels, then hand bottled without sulphur. The final product is super expressive, unique and delicious.
Highly aromatic, with strong hints of herbs, wood and stewed berries. The weight has soft and delicate tannins, firm acid and good length of flavour. Other notes include mint, soft berries and green twigs. A slight chill and decant are recommended.
