Gekkeikan Nigori is a rough-filtered Sake. By definition Nigori means ?cloudy? and this style of sake is thicker and creamier in texture, with a milk like appearance. The ?cloudiness? comes from the rice sediment which remains in the sake after it has been passed through a special coarse-mesh filter. The tradition of rough-filtering sakes
has been used in Japan for many centuries.
Characteristically sweet with a creamy medium-body. Hints of honey and tropical fruit, with a long finish.
Delicious with fresh fruit salad, lightly sweetened dessert, rich flavoured meat dishes and spicy food.
Served chilled or in a variety of unique cocktails. Shake well before serving.
