Aptly named, as the fruit for this wine comes from an old olive tree planting.
Finely textured, ageworthy, merlot-based red, with 14% malbec. Weighty, with strong, ripe plum and spice flavours, a hint of fruit cake, cedary oak in evidence, and good richness and roundness. A spicy violet and plum aromatic gives way to a blueberry and plum palate underpinned by soft tannins. To be enjoyed in its youth and savoured within the next five years.
