The Domain Castell-Reynoard is situated in the heart of Bandol, on the municipality of the Cadière D'Azur. The domain has been cultivating sustainably for a long time; the ground is mechanically worked and without any chemical weeding, and the decavaillonnage is still manually made. In 2010, the domain began to experiment with biodynamic practices on all of the vineyard to protect the natural expression of its wines and its country. Enlarged in 2009, the vineyard extends over 10 hectares today, consisting of Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan, Alicante and Vermentino.
The Pur Ju is made by Julien Castell, who practices organic and biodynamic viticulture with minimal sulphites added.
A mix of Carignan and Aglianico. The wine has a red berry juicy hue, mixed with notes of spice and dark chocolate. In the heat of summer it drinks very nicely chilled, as per the winemakers instructions.
