Distilled and bottled by Benriach, this 22 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky is finished in Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks, which imparts a rich, fruity sweetness to the robust, peated Benriach flavour profile.

Albariza Peated is non-chill filtered and of natural colour, and this Speyside beauty was bottled at 46% ABV. Albariza itself is a white marl composed of calcium, clay and sea fossils that is used to grow grapes for the production of Sherry in the Andalucia region of Southern Spain. (The more you know)

On the nose sherry sweetness breaks through light leather, chicory and smoky oak. Some red meat and sweet barley lingers.
The palate is full of sweet Mirabella peppers, black cherry and ripe figs rise but don't dominate, as licks of vanilla, campfire peat and a pricks of white pepper fill out a deep palate.
A deliciously long finish, with some menthol, honey and dark chocolate.
