This wine has a superb deep, brilliant and clear ruby colour.
The intense and complex nose opens up with powerful aromas of liquorice and wild blackberries.
When aerated, notes of cherries in brandy and a touch of spice bring depth and elegance.
On the palate, it is beautifully rounded with flavours of black cherry, garrigue and mushroom, enhanced by notes of smoke, black pepper and white pepper. Supple and balanced, this wine is best enjoyed young, although it has the capacity to evolve over 5 to 7 years towards aromas of venison, leather and tobacco.
Best served at 17°C after opening for 3 hours, this wine is the perfect accompaniment to beef tartare with vegetables, leg of lamb or wild boar in sauce, bringing out the full richness of its flavours and natural elegance.
