2021 vintage shows off garnet red, a deeper hue than many previous Vinteloper releases.

Aromas of redcurrant, spice, cherry, strawberry, toast and have just a hint of complex sulphide. It reveals immediately that it's a wine of purpose, carefully considered.

On the palate the varietal fruit characters are strong. It screams Pinot Noir. Cranberry, red apple skins, baking spice, sage, bay leaf, structured and lingering.
The bright fruit flavours serve to support the complex and layered five-spice, earth and mineral characters.

Tannins are extremely fine and structured, allowing the palate to persist and deepen.
