Rob Burley found his place in the wine world after working for a number of great like-minded producers abroad but it wasn’t until he moved to Australia and started to work for Bill Downie and Patrick Sullivan that the concept for Unkel Wines was born. He and his wife Kate recently returned to NZ to take over an organic estate near Nelson and this is his first vintage from the homeland.

If you remember Unkle’s ‘Daydreamer’ Sangiovese Rosé the nose on this one will send you straight back to it. 7 days Carbonic maceration, all in stainless steel. Bright, almost candied on the nose, but savoury, dry, slightly earthy on the palate. Incredibly pleasant to drink.
