Welcome to Scott Base. This ain’t the Scott Base in the Antarctic, it’s the Scott Base in Marlborough.

You won’t find seals, penguins or polar bears here but you will find the odd Scott like an Allan (Dad, winemaking pioneer), Catherine (wife & mum, winemaker, runs cellar door and their winery restaurant), Victoria (marketing), Sara (viticulture) or maybe a Josh (previously chief winemaker, now wine consultant but you probably know him as the man behind the Moa Beer brand).

Although Scott HQ is firmly in Marlborough they produce this label from premium fruit sourced from some of their vineyards in Central Otago. Their Scott Base label is produced in small quantities and their mission is all about producing quality not quantity. As Josh puts it – “We are not just taking the cream of the crop, but the cream that sits on top of the cream of the crop.”
