Located in the Wairarapa wine-growing region of New Zealand, Luna Estate is a newly renovated premium Wairarapa winery, situated one hour from Wellington city. Two precious parcels of land are home to Luna Estate?s Martinborough vineyards, with two distinct terroirs to create one magical wine selection.

The 2018 Blue Rock Vineyard Syrah was sourced from the steep north facing Highfold block planted in 1997 and for the first time included fruit from the 10-year-old Nelson block. 

Planted in 1997 to a precipitous North facing slope. Normally a marginal prospect in a cool climate such as ours, the slope delivers all day sun to the vines, ensuring perfect ripeness in al but the coolest of vintages.

Syrah made by the makes of Pinot Noir! Look for elegance and balance, never a heavy weight. Clove and pepper spice with dark chocolate and black fruits.
Hard to not drink now but cellar with confidence for 10 years.
