Renowned sailors, the Butterworth Family are the new custodians of Julicher Vineyard, planted in the iconic soils of Te Muna. All of our wines are Estate produced, made with a light touch by winemaker and biotechnologist, Martin Bell.

The Layline series is produced working with local grape growers. It gives the team at Butterworth the opportunity to make wines in the same high quality style as their Single Vineyard Butterworth Collection from various vineyards in the Martinborough Region.

Hand harvested and fermented in tank to preserve fruit purity. Pure aromas of honeysuckle, pear drop, and white flowers. On the palate, acid purity, with mid palate richness and length. A ubiquitous wine.
