Ca? dei Frati dates back to at least 1782, when the estate pops up in local history as ?a house with a cellar located in Lugana in the Sermion district known as the place of the Friars.? Its modern history begins in 1939, when Felice Dal Cero, the son of a grape grower, moved into that ?house with a cellar? and realized the property?s potential for viticulture. Flash forward thirty years, and Felice?s son, Pietro, is in charge, fighting the good fight to make Lugana an official DOC.
