Island Blend is a Bordeaux inspired wine, a mix of Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes picked from numerous vineyards stretched across Waiheke and the infamous Ponui Island, where harvesting the grapes must correspond with the tides as they need a boat to get the grapes back to the winery. That's dedication and involves a lot of praying to the Gods for good weather.

generous and juicy, forward fruit with mouth coating tannins giving structure to the fruit. The fruit flavours are ripe but with good complexing nuances of forest floor, coffee grinds and fresh tobacco leaves and where one is left with a sensation like sucking cherry stones, very moreish. Drinking well now and over the next 4-5 years. Made for all your favourite BBQ meats or slow cooked meat dishes.
