Created in 1912 by Pauline and Jean-Pierre Grassa, Domaine du Tariquet is nestled in the South West of France, home of a wonderful art de vivre, with their Armagnac, foie gras... The Domaine has wonderful terroir, great climate, and is the perfect place to create wonderful wines.
But this richness of terroir also goes with the imagination of Yves who, 25 years ago, planted unusual grapes for the region: Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Chenin. First step, bending the rules and then he decided to try new associations: Chardonnay and Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc. The Tariquet as we enjoy it today was born.
All good stories end on a positive note. Yves? sons, Armin and Remy, are now winemakers themselves and will soon be writing the next chapter of this story?
This Armagnac pours golden with a sappy nose and vanilla of plum and orange zest. A tense, lively mouth, marked by fruity-vegetable nuances and cocoa accents.
A good length in the mouth towards a dominant woody and orange zest on the finish.
