A native of the Loire Valley, Olivier Pithon grew up in the vines, his Grandfather was a winemaker and his older brother, revered winemaker Jo Pithon, settled on the hillsides of Layon when Olivier was 4. After learning his craft in Bordeaux, Beaujolais and Jurancon, Olivier settled in the village of Calce where he purchased his vineyard. The domain was certified organic in 2002 and biodynamic in 2010.
Olivier firmly believes that great wines are made in the vineyard. His wines reflect the uniqueness of the terroir and the grapes, and his philosophy made him one of the top producers in Roussillon.

This cuv?e is the result of a partnership with half a dozen winemakers from neighbouring villages who also practice organic agriculture or who are converting to organic. It is a wine to drink with friends, in the sun, while eating a pleasant meal. Fruit, roundness and pleasure.

The simple pleasures of life like eating, drinking, and laughing best describe this P?tit Pithon.

Grapes: Grenache, Moudevre, Syrah

This Mon P'tit Pithon red wine in the C?tes Catalannes appellation is made from young vines of mainly black Grenache, supplemented by a little Syrah. The grapes are harvested by hand, the wine is aged in vats and the maceration is short.

A real thirst-quenching wine, and that is not a pejorative term! The winemaker Olivier Pithon says it himself, this wine is to be drunk with friends, during a convivial meal. Fruity with notes of red and black fruits and freshness, it is a pure delicacy!
