This is the second wine of Chateau du Tertre from vines that are between 15 and 25 years old. The blend is 43 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 33 % Merlot, 19 % Cabernet Franc and 5 % Petit Verdot. Vinification is in a mix of concrete, wood and stainless steel and ageing is 100% French oak.
This is a full bodied wine with oodles of dark black fruits such as cassis blackberry and plums on the nose which lead to a finely balanced palate with fresh acidity and chewy tannins.
