Created from a selection of casks filled at the Benrinnes distillery 11 years ago, this new release from Cadenhead is a curious mixture of ex- PX sherry, ex-bourbon and ex-rum casks. 

The tasting notes from Cadenhead describe a warm and rich malt, with buttered gingerbread, hot Christmas pies and orange marmalade on the nose. On the palate, there are flavours of red apple and blackcurrant sweets, and an earthy note of black olives and plenty of stewed dark fruit. The finish ends with a hint of spearmint (a characteristic of American oak) and spice.
