Sawmill is an independent, New Zealand owned brewery run by a small and talented team.

For 16 years we have been brewing fresh high-quality beers using New Zealand rainwater collected on-site, New Zealand grown hops and New Zealand grown malted barley. 

The Brewery is known for charting its own course and they have an ethos of resourcefulness. There is a strong focus on the environmental impact of the business and Sawmill is New Zealand’s first B-Corporation certified brewery.

Sawmill are known for making beer that is very pared back and clean in style and their packaging reflects that too. They aim to be distinctive in their simplicity.
