In 1936 Don Jose followed through with his promise to the eldest 3 of his children and began to distil the Sugar cane. Almost 100 years later Ron Abuelo still cultivate and distil all their own sugar cane in the same fashion. Sugar cane honey is used instead of molasses which gives a unique flavour profile. Maturation takes place in ex-American whiskey casks.

Nose: Buttery toffee notes with hints of caramel and citrus. Molasses... Dates...

Palate: Thick and creamy, with notes of spice, toasted oak, herbs and dark brown sugar.

Finish: Good finish with cinnamon and oak
