Two brothers Stew and Chris Reid - Wellington brothers who love gin. So much so that they started our own craft gin distillery in 2015: Reid Brothers Distilling Limited. The proud producer of Reid+Reid gin and vermouth. They grew up in Wellington, but spent many weekends in Martinborough where Reid Brothers’ distillery is now based.
Chris has a background in wine science and manages Reid Brothers’ day-to-day production and logistics. Stew is a renewable energy engineer by day, based in Melbourne and Scotland, and Gin Baron by night...
The brothers set up Reid + Reid to challenge the perception of a classic gin and promote New Zealand's unique natural flora. The result: Reid+Reid, New Zealand native gin.
In 2020 Reid + Reid built a new distillery, tasting room and planted a vineyard on site. This lovely facility in Martinborough is now open to the public - and of course it's a great place to taste.
