Bruichladdich is once again showing the love it has for its home on its sleeve with another edition of its Islay Barley single malt Scotch whisky. The 2013 expression is made with barley grown on Islay from seven different farms, and matured in first-fill American oak whiskey casks and a combination of Ribera del Duero, Syrah, and Pauillac wine casks.
Aromas of melted butter, sea shores, nectarine, a smidge of floral sweetness.
Honeyed cereal on the palate, with almond, nutmeg, peach, vanilla pod earthiness.
A late hint of citrus oil develops on the palate.
