Holland road is the passion project of local distiller Terry Rilestone.
He gives us the following description:

"The Wild Ginseng I use is 10 years old and is freshly dug up when I need it, then rested and climate adjusted before it is put in my still within 5-7 days of being unearthed. The raw Manuka Honey used in this blend is also fresh and sourced from Raglan as I need it, and the Yuzu is freshly harvested once a year and sourced from the Hawkes Bay, then semi dehydrated and vacuum sealed to maintain its aroma.

The Wild Ginseng & Manuka Honey is a strong London Dry Gin at 47% with a good botanical nose and floral notes. It has a smooth and well-rounded mouth feel with a slight, pleasant rooty character. The Ginseng is really experienced on the out-breath, and the unexpected candied sweetness of the honey works well to give it a creamy finish and balance it out. A very unique and niche gin that works well on the rocks as a sipping gin or with a premium tonic to bring out the botanicals."

Best paired with the East Imperial Burma Tonic, East Imperial Yuzu Tonic, Fever Tree Premium Indian Tonic, or Stranglove Bitter Lemon.
Although Terry has also crafted this gin to be delicious when sipped straight or on the rocks.
