Based in the village of Lugny, the Caves de Lugny is a large cooperative with 250+ members. In fact it produces about half the total wine made in the region! Taken together, the surface area represents 1400 ha or about 15 square kilometres of vines surrounding the Cave. Over 85% of the vineyards are planted with Chardonnay grape varietal. The Cave de Lugny receives grapes from 232 estates extending over 27 communes.
This wine has depth, intensity and so much flavour. It?s fresh with glorious notes of zesty citrus, delicate white flowers and a hint of honey. This is an archetypal Chardonnay from the M?con Villages in the south of Burgundy that uses different terroirs to combine minerality, delicacy and fruit expression.
