This is Beaujolais-Villages at its best from Alex Burgaud. Alex, a volunteer fireman in his spare time, kept his cool in the heatwave of summer 2018; harvesting early to capture as much freshness (acidity) as possible. The resulting wine is bright in colour and ebullient in nature, brimming with floral and red fruit aromas. There?s a touch of granitic grip to the palate, which adds gravitas. Drink it lightly chilled with anything from charcuterie to halloumi burgers. Drink now to 2020.
