Rich and extravagant, Alvear PX Solera 1927 is the decadent dessert wine to end all others. It is made by spreading ripe Pedro Ximenez grapes out on mats to dry in the sun until they become raisins. 

When pressed, these deliver an intensely rich must to which grape alcohol is added to prevent fermentation and loss of sweetness. The wine is then aged using the "Solera" barrel system, which for this wine started in 1927. Deep rich nose reminiscent of prunes and chocolate. On the palate sumptuous, reminiscent of golden syrup, chocolate, prunes and also a lift of citrusy freshness.
