DESCRIPTION
This traditional witbier has been developed under supervision of the father of Hoegaarden and Celis White, master brewer Pierre Celis. This beer has been bottle-refermented, which lent it its specific taste.
TASTING NOTES
Hazy yellow pour, fizzy white head. Aroma is orange peel, lemon and spice, fruit cake and marmalade. Flavor is orange spice, creamsicle, frothy and sweet. Refreshing, a nice wit.
BELGIAN WHITE & WITBIER
Belgian style wheat beers are very pale, opaque, with the crisp character of wheat, plus the citric refreshment of orange peel and coriander. Ingredients sometimes also include oats for smoothness, and other spices such as grains of paradise. Serve with light cheeses or mussels.
