The Germans have a magnificent range of black, amber, and even smoked lagers, but the beer for a boat race could only be pale, crisp, and refreshing. Wanting to strike the balance between full-sun quaffability, and complexity and character, our Flagship lager is closest to a Dortmunder with a touch of German Pils.

Flagship combines the best features of the two styles: like a Dortmunder, it?s full-bodied, and a shade stronger and darker than your average golden lager; and like the legendary German pils it has a good hit of zingy noble hops. The star of the show is the Saphir hop, with waves of tangerine and herbaceous spice washing over honey-sweet malts.
