The Boathouse is a striking, airy structure based on the design of a colonial woolshed that originally stood on the property. Located on the water?s edge at Wairoa Bay, close to The Landing jetty, The Boathouse looks out to 144 islands in the Bay of Islands and beyond.
The Landing Vineyard sits above The Boathouse on the Purerua Peninsula and has been farmed for over a century. The vines have been selectively planted on the dry north facing slopes that naturally moderate vigour ensuring high-quality, well-balanced wines.

The Landing Boathouse range of wines were developed to showcase what we can
do with Chardonnay, Rose, Pinot Gris and our Italian red varietals of Sangiovese and
Montepulciano. These wines have been designed to enjoyed by the glass with good
company and dreaming of warm summers and relaxing days in New Zealand?s beautiful Bay of Islands.

Aromatics of red fruit and spices, the palate is elegant and long, framed by a ne tannin structure. This blended red is a true expression of the terroir of The Landing. The sun-drenched slopes, deep clay soil and the nearby cooling waters of the Bay of Islands shape a wine, that like the site itself, is a unique meeting of cultures.
