"We make whisky the old way. It’s not the easiest or the cheapest way, but it’s the best."
Arran Single Malt starts its life as Scottish rainwater at Loch Na Davie in the hills high above the distillery. The clear water cascades down the Easan Biorach burn through six waterfalls, each one purifying the water further.
Production began at Arrans first distillery in beautiful Lochranza almost 25 years ago. Great malt whisky is a distillation of the place it’s made. The local water, microclimate and air quality all influence the spirit as it’s distilled and matured. Isle of Arran whisky couldn’t come from anywhere else but this wee rock, of twenty miles by ten. Arran whisky is the island, bottled.
