Deep ruby in colour with a purple hue. Delicious aromas and flavours of red and dark plum, boysenberry, layers of smoky oak spices and hints of black pepper. Medium bodied with fine tannins and a long finish.
2019 was a warmer year than average which saw higher yields and more opulent fruit characters, the resulting wines show fruit intensity and structure.
Harvested at peak ripeness to display opulence of fruit, the wine underwent a period of cold soaking to extract colour and aroma. Fruit was pressed to tank to finish fermentation prior to spending some time in barrel.
Showcased in some of Auckland's top resturants: Soul Bar & Bistro as well as Oyster & Chop.
Food Pairing: A wine to enjoy with or without food, but perfect to match with roasted meats and pasta dishes.
