Established in 1971, Rockford's vintage shed is equipped with plant that is from 50 to 100 years old and was discarded by other wineries as modernisation took over.

Although the wine shows typical varietal and regional characteristics, it also has the Rockford philosophy at its core - a rich, soft and full flavoured wine made using traditional wine making techniques and attitude.

"Aimed to be released at approximately 15 years of age, the latest NV PS Marion Tawny shows appropriate bricking at the rim. It's full-bodied, plump and juicy, with caramelized cherries and baking spices leading the flavor parade. Befitting the style, the mouthfeel is creamy and the tannins are supple, with no need for (or advantage to) further cellaring."
