Church Road 1 is a story of provenance and our single vineyard offering showcasing the unique character of our very best vineyards from the best sub-regions in Hawke?s Bay including the famed Redstone, Tuki Tuki and Gimblett Gravels sites. Our winemakers take a back seat and allow the land to stamp its mark on the wine so it reveals a true expression of place in every glass, every time.

A robust and characterful red with generous, juicy, dark berry fruit, lifted violet floral notes and exotic spice typical of this block. The palate is full bodied with good mid palate richness, and fine-grained, ripe tannins drawing out the finish.
While approachable now, this wine will age positively for at least 15 years if well cellared.
