Central Otago’s much loved Felton Road is world renown for the quality of its wines. From its inception in 1991, this winery has continued to overachieve and is now widely recognised as one of New Zealand’s top wineries for all of the varieties that they make. Everything about this winery is inspiring, as early adopters of Biodynamics, the goats, cows and chickens that roam the property, Nigel the owner who spent the past couple of years making guitars, the winemaker, Blair, who has been there since the start. For him, it has taken this time to understand that wine will be what it wants to be and that his job is to encourage but not to mould. The Chardonnay is delicious, fresh and lively yet with real concentration and power.
