This time it’s a Cabernet Franc from McLaren Vale. Widely regarded as the Pinot Noir of the Cabernet family, Cabernet Franc is an important variety in the Loire Valley in France, and seeing a revival in popularity amidst forward thinking creative winemakers.
It’s just so easy to drink and bloody delicious. It has that blackcurrant fruit which you see in Cabernet but it’s generally a bit softer with less tannin input and a distinct leafiness which when in balance is so attractive.
